Configure Node Alias Globally

About this task

By default, the switch enables Node Alias globally, as well as on Auto-sense enabled ports.
Note

Note

You cannot enable Node Alias on SPBM NNI ports.

If you disable Node Alias globally, port level functionality is also disabled.

The steps in this procedure assume Node Alias is disabled globally as well as on ports.

Perform the following procedure to configure Node Alias.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > Serviceability.
  2. Select Node Alias.
  3. Select the GlobalConfig/Info tab.
  4. Select GlobalEnable.
  5. In ClientsMaxNumberEntries, type the number of clients to be stored in the Node Alias client database on the switch.
  6. Optional: Select ClientsClearAll to clear all client information from the database.
  7. Select Apply.

Specifies the total number of clients entries.

The default is 8,192.

ClientsClearAll

Clears all client information from the database.

StatsTotalClientEntries

Displays the total number of stored clients.

StatsTotalActiveClientEntries

Displays the total number of active stored clients.

StatsTotalProtocolInfoEntries

Displays the total number of stored protocol entries for clients.

GlobalEnable

Enables or disables Node Alias globally.
